CA Inter IPCC examination is not easy to crack in the first attempt. You have to be completely dedicated and focused to crack this exam.
Remember: PLAN, EXECUTE & SUCCEED.
In this article, I’ll share some tips/suggestions on how you can prepare your mind-set to dedicate yourself to your studies.
Prepare a Time-Table
You should have everything pre-planned before you start with your studies. Best way is to prepare a TimeLine and a Time-Table. It allows you to be regular, punctual and you never miss anything.
While preparing the TimeLine, don’t forget to ask yourself: “What to do?”, “When to do?” and “How to do?”
Decide how you are going to study and which subjects you are going to do first. A well-prepared plan means better execution (if you follow your time-table, of course).
Go Get Your Study Material
Don’t get over-excited and buy anything from the market or internet. Decide what you want to get and how you want to study. Buy relevant books and other study material online because irrelevant material will just waste your precious time.
Use ICAI study material which can cover your whole syllabus. Do not leave any topic, try to cover 100% of your syllabus.
And it’s not important that you should just study from books. There are a lot of other modes of classes available: Face-to-Face, Pen Drive, Online & Mobile App Classes. But which one is best for you?
If you wish to know more about this, here’s another for you from Audit By Vaishali (do check it out):
Don’t Be Lazy, Never Procrastinate
This is one of the worst habits that we’re all familiar with, students especially. I get it, it’s not easy to follow a time-table specially when there are a lot of distractions around such as social media, games, TV, etc. You need to get rid of those distractions.
It’s time to get out of your bed and prove yourself that you can make it. That you can crack this exam.
Stay Away from TV & Mobile Phones
These are the worst enemies of a student who wants to crack the CA IPCC exam. Yeah! Sure, it’s okay to use phones or watch TV while being on a break, but never stretch those breaks or it turns into a habit which is not easy to get rid of.
Plus, it puts strain on your eyes and drains your energy. You don’t want that, do you?
Study Regularly, PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
There’s not much benefit of studying if you don’t revise regularly. Regularity is A MUST. You will perform in exam only that you have retained. That comes from revision. You should add this to your time-table.
You should revise daily. Your performance and knowledge will enhance only on the basis of your daily practice. It also helps you to set aside unimportant and irrelevant topics.
Study Practice Tests, Previous Year & Mock Test Papers
This helps you to understand the pattern of the paper and also helps you to analyse your ability. Self-analysis is very essential as it enables you to understand your ability and level. This way you can adjust your time-table also.
And one more thing, always rely on a teacher who can check your test papers and tell your mistakes, otherwise it’s of no use.
Take Short Breaks
Studying continuously for more than 4-5 is not a good idea. Your brain needs rests, and so does your body. Take short breaks. Go for a walk, do some stretching, talk to someone, have something to eat and most importantly, keep yourself hydrated.
